Half-Life 2 Skins work for Half-Life 2 both its episodes (Ep 1 and Ep2) as well as Half Life 2: Deathmatch.


For Half Life 2 Install to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YourSteamName\half-life 2\hl2

or a similar folder for the episodes.

Half-Life 2 Deathmatch Skins will not function properly in-game unless the server
you are playing on has sv_pure set to zero (0). If you aren't seeing your custom
skins, move to a server with sv_pure 0 and you will see them again.

Install to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YourSteamName\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp

Counter-Strike Source Skins will not function properly in-game unless the server
you are playing on has sv_pure set to zero (0). If you aren't seeing your custom
skins, move to a server with sv_pure 0 and you will see them again.

Additionally, some skins will not look correct and may cause errors if the server
you are playing on has sv_consistency set to one (1). Move to a server with
sv_consistency 0 in order to resolve these errors.

Install to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YourSteamName\counter-strike source\cstrike

Team Fortress 2 Skins will not function properly in-game unless the server
you are playing on has sv_pure set to zero (0). If you aren't seeing your custom
skins, move to a server with sv_pure 0 and you will see them again.

Additionally, some skins will not look correct and may cause errors if the server
you are playing on has sv_consistency set to one (1). Move to a server with
sv_consistency 0 in order to resolve these errors.

Install to:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\YourSteamName\team fortress 2\tf2

Some Left 4 Dead 2 Skins may not function properly in certain game types. This is
due to special restrictions that Valve has placed on those game types in order to 
encourage fair play and equal challenge. If your skins are not showing up, move
to a different game type and double-check that you have enabled them in your 
in-game addons menu.

Installation Process:

1) Unzip to LFD2 Addons folder (C:\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\)
2) Double click Map or Skin VPK
3) Activate under Custom Content Menu In-Game
